I am just amazed when people think that if they had a top of the line photo equipment that alone will automatically makes them a better photographer. In my 10 year career as a photographer I went through all kinds of cameras be it a top of the line one or a basic SLR and what I came to understand is that not always what’s new is necessarily better then the model it is replacing.

I came across one article not too long ago about this famous photographer that utilizes his $250 point and shoot camera throughout his busy wedding day and the results are nothing short of amazing.

To me photography is like arts, this is how I see it, before I even press that button on the camera I already saw what to go for and from what angle, cropping and so on. I love to work with clients in a very natural approach yet creating something interesting worth looking at.

We live in a digital world today and programs like Photoshop if one knows how to work with the possibilities are endless. You are only limited by your imagination. Even with a point & shoot cameras one can create something very unique.

Of course everything takes time and one can’t just become a genius overnight.

As long as one willing to learn and gets the best out of what is at hand, a path to success is guaranteed.

My advise to all young photographers visiting my site is this, whatever camera you may have use it to the utmost and do not get an upgrade until you outgrow what you already have. In other words if the camera you have is limiting you in obtaining the images you go after that is when you know it is time to step up to a new equipment.

We really had so much fun there, kids were all over the place. The building is huge and one can easily get lost there if never visited that place before.

I took many photos of kids having a blast. I did not use a flash and opted for natural lightning. Some areas there are quite dark so I was using my Nikon D3 with ISO set from 3200 to 6400.

We arrived there in the morning and stayed there till about 3pm. My kids privet school needed some help from parents to look after other kids so my wife and I are gladly volunteered.

Overall I enjoyed my day with kids. It is nice to have some available time to actually get out and see what your kids go at. So I was helping the school and at the same time spending a quality time with my own family.

Thank you again to all my clients for choosing me as your photographer. We definitely rocked the Rochester NY  with photos that make other brides simply jealous. It’s been a real pleasure and success for me to have hit 27 weddings this year and working together with some of the gorgeous brides in the area.

As my wedding photography season is almost over for this year I will keep this blog rolling with daily photos and my thoughts in hopes that it might help to encourage someone who is in need of an encouragement or simply put a smile on one’s face. As a photographer this is how I communicate by means of capture so let my photos do the talk.

It was fairly straight forward yet was challenging as my job was not to disturb the class and with my bulky cameras and lenses it is a hard task to stay hidden.  Nevertheless I could not be more then happy with the results I obtained. Big thanks goes out to all the teachers that assisted me in making this possible.

I really love to shoot in photo journalistic style as you capture in this way the real people, their real emotions and the atmosphere that’s sometimes not always possible with poses.  And that is how I always shoot weddings all the way through except for the time when we go out in the park and some formals. So I was very excited to use the same technics in this school session.

It was so much fun and interesting for me to be there. I believe I blended in nicely with school staff and everything went according to the plan. I also enjoyed how teachers were interacting with students and how fun and learning the whole place was.

Thanks also goes to Julie the Associate Director for allowing me the opportunity to be of service to such a great school.

Kyara did great, yet she was shy at times, nevertheless we both enjoyed the session. The pictures came out beautifully and I was happy with the outcome.

The wedding took place in Greece NY right by the lake Ontario. I met with the guys at the church and there I started my wedding day, well as a photographer. These guys were really fun to work with and they helped me big deal to capture them in their natural state, simply put – just who they are. I love this approach, it really reveals a true  personality and conveys the atmosphere to the viewer.

As I was finishing up with the guys and guests the girls arrived and immediately the ceremony took place. I was not allowed to work close by Carrrie and Jesse during the ceremony so my big telephoto lens helped me there as great deal.

Sadly for me there was not a whole a lot of time after church and before the reception to do any of my creative photos so with that being said we proceeded quickly to reception. Nevertheless I still was able to capture some sweet posses that will surely please my clients.

The reception was very interesting indeed, lots of happening there, lots of fun and lots of surprises and food was great too!

On the whole the wedding was great. I took tons of candid shots and once put together you can literally read the love story of the day.

Congrats to Carri and Jesse, wish you only the best in your new life as husband and wife!

To be honest with you I have never shot no engagement at the Charlotte pier in Rochester. Though I did some wedding photos around there but never on the pier itself.

This was Larry choice to go there as he did the proposal to Tiffani right there.

The weather was awesome, and everything around there was just right for the pictures. We started off right at the pier base and proceeded slowly towards the end and right slightly pass the middle was the spot where Larry proposed.

These guys are great. I could tell they enjoyed the engagement session very much and now I can’t wait to capture their love story on the wedding day!
